Roses are fine, but the real way to my heart is with good food, so I’d rather have this bouquet of cupcake roses any day. If you’ve never piped icing flowers onto cupcakes before, don’t worry. When you have the right piping tip, it does all the work for you. In this case, I used a Wilton 2D piping tip. It made me look like a pro. Another thing I tried with these roses was a two-toned effect combining a soft pink and a deep pink. I did that by putting a little bit of the darker shade around the sides of the piping bag and filling the middle with the lighter pink icing.
