I was asked to do a Bar Mitzvah. Sure! It was at the Ritz Carlton Marina Del Rey. Wonderful! I was told it was a baseball theme. Oh! I know you all think of me as a big jock, but my baseball expertise really isn’t that vast. But I know topiaries! So I made baseball topiaries, constructed from artificial turf, baseball bats, and balls. It was a feat of engineering to make it all stand up without collapsing, but they survived the event, and I still have a few as souvenirs. I’d say this was a home run.
