This is so cool. So do you have a system of threads or do you attach each thread individually to the ceiling? Do you have a photo of what it looks like at the ceiling level?

(Although the prices for the individual items have probably gone up due to inflation) I've had my storage system for years now, and it is so helpful for organizing and storing my large papers. And I use the tabletop for my space to paint. Thanks for your note!

I don’t remember how I ended up stumbling over your amazing Ikea paper storage hack just now but literally thrilled that I did. I have a double set of stacked paper storage drawers BUT within the next few years we are expecting that we will be moving to an apartment and my studio space will shrink accordingly. I work on paper – photography, large size and drawing and artists’ books – so lots and lots of paper. I was starting to fret (big time) about how I would store my paper in an apartment because the paper storage unit I have is way too big, way too heavy. Your hack is fantastic, easily accommodated in an apartment. You actually made me feel so much better about this upcoming move. You cannot imagine. I’m actually fine about the move now, thanks to your great idea.

I was on the hunt for flat storage for my art pieces + moulds. Everything was really expensive and either too big or too small. But this idea can be tailored to suit my needs. Totally brilliant and love that it’s quite easy to put together. Cheers for sharing such an amazing idea
