Brian and Teeda's Wedding Flowers
I recently had the honor of creating the flowers for my nephew Brian’s wedding. I had so much fun doing them.

The floral theme I went with was calla lilies. I created a hand-tied bouquet of cream calla lilies, hydrangeas and leaves, with the piece de resistance being the pearl collar at the base. The pearls were on loan from Harry Winston of Beverly Hills, valued at $2 million. Just kidding, they were fake.

The groom’s boutonniere had a wedding band at the base of the calla lily to give it a subtle “bling.” |
For centerpieces, I assembled orchid plants that lucky guests got to take home. I decoupaged the vases with my mother’s Chinese water color paintings. She’s a very talented artist, but she has given up painting for mah jong. |

Likewise, pearl and diamond rings adorned the ladies’ corsages. |
A top view of the bouquet. Very Georgia O’Keefe, isn’t it? |
