This is one of the keepsake box arrangements that Amy Mackinnon made for a yacht club brunch. She used nautical theme boxes and filled them with roses. They look absolutely professional. Wait a minute. Who goes to yacht club brunches? Why wasn’t I invited? |

Allison Hockman is the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary District Buddy Poppy Chairman. She made this floral cake for the winter fundraiser banquet, and it was a huge hit. People always ask me if they can make the floral cake with silk carnations, and that’s exactly what Allison did. As an added bit of inspiration, she made the cake platter out of a $1.00 glass plate and a $1.00 parfait glass turned upside down and glued to the bottom of the plate. |

Kim Maple from San Jose, Costa Rica made this tropical turkey for Thanksgiving. It’s so Costa Rica! I love it. |

I met Barbara Kubarych while speaking at the Del Mar Rose Society. She was so excited, she bought 4 copies of “Flowers that Wow” and made a floral cake that weekend for a friend who is battling cancer. Barbara is an inspiration to me. |

Cindy Iwashita made these Chinese Take-Out arrangements as centerpieces for her father’s 60th birthday dinner. They look so perfect, don’t they?

Erin Lareau created this exquisite floral turkey for Thanksgiving. Best of all, she got most of the elements from her yard. I hear people were talking turkey about this arrangement at the post-Thanksgiving water cooler.

Jackie Brousseau of Massachusetts made this red, white and blue cake for the 4th of July. Doesn’t it look like fireworks are shooting from the top of the cake? I love that Jackie put her own patriotic spin to the floral cake. She shows that the cake doesn’t have to be just for birthdays. A big round of applause for Jackie’s creativity. |

This cheery topiary is one of many Charisse Tongol created for her sister’s debutante ball. She used the rose topiary directions and adapted it with gerber daisies instead of roses. Charisse has a great sense of style and color, don’t you think? |
